Crystal Wagner listed in her blog 20 reasons why clapping games are beneficial to children. I agree – especially with number 18 as I often used these for a quick change of direction and they developed into ‘brain breaks’ as we became more competent.
It was often a time when a child I partnered was better than me at the game! How fun is it to beat the teacher!!
